Mechanical Technician

Job Purpose

Responsible and support Mechanical Team in carried out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as instructed and assigned by the team leader, maintains and ensures tools and equipment are kept in good working order and ensure all works are in accordance with well-defined procedures and technical standards and adhere to Compamy's Policies, HSE rules and regulations. 

Key Accountabilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation of offshore facilities.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating and static equipment, including gas engines, compressors, pumps, diesel generators, firewater pumps, cranes, lifting equipment, and utility systems.
• Support plant start-up, shutdown, equipment isolation, and major maintenance activities while coordinating with contractors and vendor specialists.
• Execute maintenance work orders, update maintenance records, and maintain equipment history in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Monitor equipment condition, identify abnormalities, and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and availability.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements, and company maintenance procedures while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Maintain tools, spare parts, and workshop equipment in good working condition and report inventory shortages.
• Prepare maintenance documentation, handover reports, and support continuous competency development through offshore training programs.
• Participate in emergency response activities, safety campaigns, and cross-functional teamwork to support safe and efficient offshore operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experiences

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical with 5 years’ experience in Mechanical maintenance oil and gas industry or any related field.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on rotating machine such as Turbomachinary gas compressor, gas turbine, reciprocating gas compressor, centrifugal pump , Crane , Water maker, diesel centrifuge, diesel generator, air compressor and Fire water pump.  
• Moderate physical effort of standing, walking, climbing for 80% of working time.
• Practical knowledge and experience of maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Good in spoken and written in the English.
• Valid Offshore survival certificate and offshore medical certificate.
