Officer, Nature-based Solutions Support

Job Purpose

The job holder is responsible for support the planning and execution of reforestation and other nature-based solutions (NbS) initiatives in alignment with the organization’s decarbonization strategy, ensuring environmental, social, and economic sustainability while driving measurable carbon and biodiversity outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

• Plan and execute reforestation and other nature-based solutions (NbS) projects in line with Company strategy and governance.
• Coordinate end-to-end project implementation, including timelines, resources, and performance tracking.
• Assess and monitor carbon sequestration potential and carbon credit generation from NbS projects. Support evaluation of biodiversity impact to ensure alignment with sustainability and conservation goals.
• Ensure all initiatives align with the organization’s decarbonization targets and relevant environmental frameworks.
• Coordinate and execute related partnerships, including MoUs and agreements with key stakeholders.
• Engage and collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project KPIs, track progress, and identify risks with supporting mitigation actions.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and updates for management and stakeholder communication.

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental projects, reforestation, or related areas.
• Knowledge of carbon markets, carbon accounting, and biodiversity frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or community stakeholders is preferred.
