Job Purpose

Supervisor, Well Operations is responsible for planning, supervising, efficient executing Heavy-Duty Units which are Plug and Abandonment, Coiled Tubing, Subsea Wellhead Removal, Offline Conductor Removal and related activities. The leadership and technical expertise are strongly required for a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe execution according to company’s rules and regulations, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Direct, supervise and coordinate the work to ensure that all assigned operations are managed and conducted in accordance with company’s SSHE policy and industrial standards
  • Lead daily operations and render day-to-day detailed work instructions to the working teams on-site
  • Verify that all equipment/ tools are in good condition, function/ pressure tested, and certified following Company’s standards and/or specific instructions. Prior to any operations, ensure all pressures of interest are verified and recorded for reference and readiness of necessary well control equipment on-site during operations
  • Compile and summarize operations; and report any operations failures/ problems to Superintendent for further decision-making for solutions
  • Enhance the implementation, enforcement, development and updating of safety and operating procedures
  • Provide necessary input/ feedback for technical improvements on execution of operations as well as company’s know-how via information technology and training
  • Coordinate the overlap with concerned parties to carry out the jobs as per proposal
  • Ensure that equipment is properly rigged up and tested under pressure control principles and procedures, and within designed specifications and equipment limitations
  • Supervise and monitor execution of specific operations in a safe manner to Company expenditure and other production constraints

Key Accountabilities (Cont.)

  • Plan, control and ensure the optimization of technical integrity and maintenance of all assets’ wells in compliance with Company’s SSHE Management System
  • Ensure areas of work and facilities are maintained in a safe condition
  • Conduct safety meeting, lead onsite JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) and toolbox meetings. Actively participate in morning operations meeting 
  • Update/ prepare procedures for all new equipment/ tools introduced into operations and propose changes to existing procedures as and when needed
  • Coordinate with contractors and related parties to ensure that all materials are properly controlled and managed to meet the work requirements. Ensure good inventory of company’s equipment/ tools and spare parts at work sites or workshop for correct stock realization
  • Ensure proper storage, handling and transportation of materials to avoid risk of premature equipment damage
  • Manage all available resources and workforce appropriately to ensure that objectives are achieved, and staff are fully utilized
  • Coordinate and oversee the loadout, backload of equipment, as well as inter-field movement activities
  • Being the Company Site Representative (CSR) for the assigned vessel in the project
  • Carry out a thorough site audit of the contractor's base, followed by the provision of a comprehensive audit report.
  • Execute the commissioning of the unit and generate a detailed commissioning report. Additionally, ensure the follow-up of action items and their timely closure in alignment with the operation execution date
  • Participate in essential meetings at Songkhla, Bangkok, or designated locations as required

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or significant relevant work experience in Heavy-Duty Units which are Plug and Abandonment, Coiled Tubing, Subsea Wellhead Removal, Offline Conductor Removal Unit
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of Supervisor position for Heavy-Duty Units with good knowledge of other associated well interventions such as Slickline, Wellhead maintenance
  • Well control certificate supervisor level for well Intervention is required
  • Good communication skills
  • Good understanding of well integrity
