Supervisor, Construction

Job Purpose

Supervisor, Construction (Mechanical) supervises all construction activities (Mechanical, Piping, Structural, painting) at onshore fabrication workshop and offshore worksites with the respect of construction codes/ project requirements and PTTEP standards and specifications and ensures the quality and safety of all works carried out.

Key Accountabilities (1)

  • Responsible for onshore fabrication of Mechanical, Piping, Structural, painting and ensuring compliance with the Company standard, specification, procedures, required quality, and safety standard
  • Coordinate with Project Engineer to check project readiness and ensure that onshore fabrication scope, engineering documents/drawings and materials are completely available for onshore fabrication
  • Provide project specification and procedure to onshore fabricators for execution. Provide technical oversight of work being fabricated and coordinate with project team, engineering and QA/QC to solve any technical issue during the onshore fabrication.
  • Ensure that all required materials are arranged in line with the fabrication status and expedite materials and logistics as required to meet schedule. Arrange with warehouse to deliver materials required to contractor and/or to deliver materials to offshore as plan.

Key Accountabilities (2)

  • Liaise with onshore fabricator to develop fabrication schedule planning. Track and report fabrication progress and fabrication activities to deliver product as plan and quality required. Co-ordinate with QA/QC Function for any inspections or testing activities
  • Coordinate with onshore fabricator to ensure that project close-out information, documentation, lessons learned are completed
  • Determine KPI’s Onshore Fabrication Management and evaluate scoring including Contractor performance efficiency, on time delivery, cost and lead time reduction.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineer to ensure readiness of construction package and on-site supervise CONTRACTOR for offshore installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities to ensure that safety, schedule, commercial, and technical requirements are met according to Company specifications and requirements

Key Accountabilities (3)

  • Coordinate with relevant departments i.e. offshore operation, safety, maintenance, onshore support team, maintenance team for lifting equipment inspection, etc. to ensure smooth and safe operation of offshore activities
  • Prepare Permit to Work, Job Safety Analysis and monitor offshore planning / progress, troubleshoot with remedy and preventive action, provide daily report and project uncertainties
  • Participate and provide input in Technical Review sessions relating to offshore construction 
  • Support construction process optimization & efficiency improvements
  • Promote and ensure an effective implementation of SSHE rules & regulations and best engineering practice

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in related fields.
  • At least 10-year experience in construction work with 3-years experience in supervisory level.
  • At least 5-year experience of offshore construction activities
  • Having familiarization of Oil & Gas business.
  • Sufficient self-confidence to organize, control the construction work under responsibility.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to relate well with others.
  • Able to use Microsoft office.

Additional Desirable Qualification

  • Experience in other construction activities i.e. E&I
