Supervisor, Construction
Job Purpose
Supervisor, Construction supervise and coordinate offshore construction and modification activities, ensuring safety, timely, quality and cost-effective execution in compliance with PTTEP standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned personnel including contractor teams in performing offshore construction (including structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical installations). Perform supervisory duties at the level established by the management for the position.
• Ensure compliance with SSHE (Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental) standards and promote a strong safety culture.
• Follow up construction work including reviewing all documents related to the construction modification project. Determine optimal construction procedures in order to minimize disruption to operations and recommend such practice to superior.
• Review, interpret and prepare specific construction drawings, specifications, and procedures for offshore work by using from PTTEP standards and codes of practice.
• Interface Management: Liaise with onshore teams/project engineer/Production/ Maintenance/ Safety/logistics and related work people at offshore to ensure smooth coordination and complete construction work
• Maintain daily progress reports, timesheets, and work permits. Ensure accurate documentation of work performed and issues encountered
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specification and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during offshore construction.
• Participate in ITP (inspection and Test plan), safety audits, and handover processes.
• Material and equipment:
• Prepare and review construction materials and equipment in order to minimize bulk storage. Maintain a minimum stock of consumable items.
• Upon request, inspect the materials/equipment prior to offshore transfer in liaison with Songkhla base logistics personnel.
• Receive material/equipment offshore and control the use of materials by contractors based on work at hand.
• Regarding manpower:
• Mobilize manpower and issue timesheet for all contractor personnel.
• Monitor their daily work; ensure their work conformity with terms and condition of contracts.
• Documentation and administration to cover the whole delegated work cycle of recording, progress and wrap up report.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments
• Control and closed monitor the SSE (Short service employee) program
• Ascertain all answers that are related to the technical queries asked by Contractors/and Head Quarter.
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
• Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Construction or related discipline.
• At least 10 years experience in construction work including 5 years at a supervisory level.
• Have knowledge and Familiarity with offshore lifting operations and heavy equipment in offshore
• Sufficient self-confidence to organize, control the construction work under responsibility.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and in high-stress environments.
• Good command of both spoken and written English.
• Capable to lead the team as per safety regulation to meet with COMPANY or international safety standard
• Good understanding and implementing of ITP (Inspection and Test Plan)
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with digital reporting tools
