Operator, Operations and Maintenance 1
Job Purpose
Operator, Operations and Maintenance carries out routine operations and monitoring of production facilities on CPP and remote Wellhead Platforms (WHPs), including start-up, shut-down, testing, and plant operating checks to ensure reliability and safe operations. The jobholder also supports preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical/instrumentation equipment as assigned.
Key Accountabilities
Primary Responsibilities (Production):
• Operate and monitor production systems on CPP and WHP, making real-time adjustments to valves, gauges, and control set points to maintain safe, stable, and efficient plant performance.
• Execute controlled start-up and shut-down of wells, pumps, rotating machinery, and utility systems in line with approved procedures and Supervisor’s instructions, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• Perform routine and special operations such as pigging, well testing, blowdowns, and ESD testing, following sequential procedures to protect system integrity.
• Conduct systematic checks of plant parameters, collect and analyze production samples, record operating data, and escalate abnormal conditions for corrective action.
• Operate and isolate major process systems, including separation, compression, dehydration/regeneration, water injection, MRU, VRC, waste heat recovery, and power generation systems, ensuring compliance with design and safety limits.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance, isolate systems safely, and coordinate with mechanical and E&I teams to enable effective interventions.
• Monitor chemical injection systems, verify injection rates and performance, and maintain accurate chemical usage records.
• Administer and control work permits for site activities, ensuring compliance with PTW requirements during commissioning, well operations, and construction.
• Maintain up-to-date operational logs and production reports to support accurate handover, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during plant upsets, maintenance, and emergency conditions to ensure smooth resolution and continuity of production.
• Support Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) as a backup operator to operate and monitor production systems on CPP and WHP as per IOCC Emergency Response Plan.
Secondary Responsibilities (Maintenance – Mechanical / E&I) as assigned:
• Perform preventive, corrective, and first-line maintenance of equipment on wellhead platforms under given instruction.
• Perform operational checks of standby systems and assist in restoring defective equipment to serviceable condition.
• Record anomalies, discrepancies, corrosion, equipment performance or other potential failures into computerized maintenance systems.
• Perform autonomous maintenance for low risk / low consequence tasks.
SSHE Responsibilities:
• Comply with and promote the Company’s SSHE policy, rules and regulations for all works under responsibility.
• Act emergency response roles as assigned in Site’s Emergency Response Plan.
• Perform Worksite Controller and Worksite Safety Controller roles on the CPP and WHP as per SSHE policy.
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
• Technical Diploma in related field
• 1-3 years of experience in multi-skilled operator and maintenance.
• Fair command of both spoken and written English
• Moderate physical effort of standing, walking, and climbing for 50% of work time
