Engineer, Construction Support

Key Accountabilities

Engineer, Construction is responsible for the modifications raised from Onshore Field. He will ensure that the modifications are properly executed for planning, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning. He will also ensure that the modification dossiers for the modifications are properly prepared, circulated for comments, and approved by relevant departments related to the operations. He will also monitor and appraise the performance of the contractors to ensure that the final deliverables installed at the Field meet all required specifications, Codes, standards, and good practices of oil and gas construction industry.

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

• Prepare the definition, cost estimate, and planning for the Step 1 dossier that is the conceptual dossier for the modifications.
• Clarify any comments that may be raised by relevant departments for the Step 1 dossier.
• Combine and Collect detailed engineering drawings and calculation from discipline engineer for EPC contractor execution,
• Prepare cost estimate, planning,
• Prepare procurement strategy, and installation procedure for the Step 2 dossier that is the detailed engineering dossier for the modifications.
• Clarify any comments that may be raised by relevant departments for the Step 2 dossier.
• Prepare the Request For Quotation package and coordinate with related sections to get the competent contractor to do the procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning.
• Prepare the Step 3 dossier that is the construction dossier and send it to the Company fabrication supervisor
• Monitor and appraise the performance of the contractor.  Also initiate and implement corrective actions when the performance of the contractor deviates from what is expected.
• Coordinate with the Company fabrication supervisor to ensure the fabrication quality of the contractor.
• Coordinate with the Company construction supervisor at offshore to ensure the installation and pre-commissioning quality of the contractor.
• Close-out the completed modifications and ensure that all as-built drawings and QA/QC dossiers are received for updating the Company drawing master files and for future reference of such modifications respectively.

Additional Desirable Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Civil, Mechanic, Electrical, Instrument.
• At least 7 years relevant experience in construction engineering.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Broad based computer knowledge
