Manager, Drilling Operations 2 Section

Key Accountabilities
Program Preparation:
- Provide operational inputs to engineering study and drilling program preparation
- Ensure preparation of drilling specific program (operational procedure) for each well
Standard Drilling Instructions (SDI’s) and other drilling operations related procedures/ guidelines
- Develop and maintain Standard Drilling Instructions (SDI’s) and other drilling operations related safety procedures/ guidelines for specific rig operations in compliance with company’s policies and Well Management System
Rig Operations Supervision
- Direct and supervise drilling superintendents on drilling and associated operations on rigs according to drilling program and company’s Well Management System
- Review daily drilling reports/ work progresses and ensure solutions for technical and operational issues
- Review progress and performance of drilling operations on a regular basis and take appropriate initiatives and actions to optimize the operations and rig time
- Participate in the review of well-planning and ensure rigs operations are available to meet the plan’s requirements
Key Accountabilities (Cont.)
Work Program and Budget (WPB), Contracts Management and Logistics
- Participate in preparing WPB and budget proposal, endorse expenditure for each well, monitor and verify expenditure against WPB
- Direct and supervise in preparation and acquisition of rigs and related contracts and procurement. Supervise the work performance of the contractors to ensure compliance with drilling programs and operations’ requirements under the terms and conditions of the contracts and company’s policy and practice.
- Ensure planning, preparation, and mobilization of resources to rig site are efficient and on schedule.
- Ensure the material preparation, material stocking, material issuing and returning are operated as planned
Emergency and safety
- Ensure operations on rigs are conducted in accordance with company’s Well Management System and conduct periodic safety visit / audit to ensure compliance with company’s SSHE Management System
- Lead the operational response team in case of emergency involving any drilling rigs
Supervisory Roles
- Coach, mentor, and guide staff and conduct periodic performance review
- Promote the implementation of company’s SSHE policy, regulations and industrial standards in all works under responsibility
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 15-year experience in drilling engineering or operations with minimum 5-year experience in drilling supervisory role
- Knowledge of other aspects/ disciplines including contracts management, well completion, well intervention, testing, reservoir, geology, etc.
- Good in written and spoken English skills
