Engineer, Maintenance Support
Job Purpose
Engineer, Maintenance (Mechanical) providing technical support to both offshore and onshore maintenance teams, ensuring effective maintenance planning and execution, as well as the preparation and management of technical data and reports. The role encompasses maintaining documentation for static equipment and valves, coordinating maintenance schedules, and controlling and monitoring maintenance costs. In addition, the incumbent is accountable for follow-up activities and QA/QC oversight related to mechanical equipment overhauls and repairs
Key Accountabilities
• Periodically review the static equipment maintenance strategies and surveillance tasks for their effectiveness and efficiency to achieve reliability and cost efficiency
• Act as the owner of the static equipment in the asset plan and maintenance reference plan
• Develop maintenance program for static equipment (Preventive maintenance and schedule corrective maintenance)
• Ensure compliance of static equipment discipline activities against the integrated activity planning process
• Ensure that the short and medium term plans are realistic and are executed accordingly, including preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PDM), and corrective maintenance (CM) for offshore and onshore facilities
• Apply continuous improvement tools to drive improvements in safety, technical Integrity, reliability, availability, cost within the discipline
• Follow up the static equipment condition monitoring program with inspection section
• Provide discipline input to related changes throughout the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Develop documents, procedures, guideline, work instruction
• Prepare training materials as well as provide trainings and/or on-the-job training (OJT) to associate mechanical engineers in related to Static equipment maintenance such as vessel, heat exchanger, valves, catalyst change out, etc
• Manage services contract in related to static equipment maintenance such as Valve Maintenance , Repair and overhaul contract, Pressure vessel maintenance contract.
• Prepare maintenance resources such as material, spare part, manpower, tools & equipment
• Support site maintenance and operations activities including trouble shooting
• Provide input in technical reviews including RBI, FRACAS (RCA), etc
• Handle spare parts management, TADM roles
• Promote the implementation of company’s SSHE policy and regulations in all works under responsibility
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering ,Chemical Engineering or any related
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering in oil and gas industry or petrochemical industry
• Experience working with static equipment of which planning/ maintenance/ troubleshooting/ modification of all static equipment, such as vessel/ heat exchanger cleaning and inspection, MRU/SRU/Memguard’s catalyst change out, Nitrogen services, valves etc.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and failure analysis of static equipment
• Knowledge of static equipment design principles, operation and maintenance
• Knowledge of Risk Base Inspection, NDT
• Knowledge in metallurgy, welding and corrosion
• Knowledge of applicable standards and codes such as ASME, API, ISO, and used widely for static equipment
• Able to develop work procedure / standard practice
• Able to work in offshore/ onshore field during maintenance campaign
• Effective coordination skill to liaise with other functions
• Good attitude, excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Good command of spoken and written English. Minimum TOEIC score 750
