Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and assure the asset integrity, maintenance and inspection for subsea facilities, topside structure, and equipment by professional execution of subsea work as planned with best practice implementation.
  • Support lead Subsea Engineer to prepare, negotiate, manage and execute all subsea Contracts (Service Standards, Competencies, Quality, SSHE, Costs and Audits)
  • Create, update, and implement a Structural Integrity Management and Risk Base Inspection (SIM-RBI) program acceptable to Company and DMF in order to reduce and optimize all costs.
  • Create, update, and implement a Pipeline External Integrity Management and Risk Base External Inspection (RBEI) program acceptable to Company and DMF in order to reduce and optimize all costs.
  • Manage, update the database of SIM-RBI study reports, subsea inspection report, subsea anomaly list and dashboard.
  • Review the technical dossier of any new contractors asking to be pre-qualified
  • Manage and execute all offshore operations on the vessels as a Superintendent, Offshore Manager and/or Company Site Representative.
  • Supervise the cost control of the intervention of subsea works and participate in budget preparation.
  • Ensure that all works are conducted along the recommendations of the IMCA
  • Design, fabricate and test specific ROV or diving tool. Conduct the relevant audits on vessels, ROV and diving systems.
  • Keep up to date on new regulations in the ROV and diving industry as well as cost saving and new technologies.
  • Execute subsea maintenance and inspection campaign using ROV, saturation, air diving and any other new technologies.
  • Prepare short and long term planning of routine inspection programs. Evaluate and demonstrate that subsea inspection program is done in a cost-effective manner.

Key Accountabilities (Continued)

  • Prepare and conduct the offshore campaigns.
  • Report on findings and issue all relevant work orders for corrective action
  • Maintain the Underwater Inspection Database of all anomalies, repairs and modifications
  • Prepare and process the procurement for the routine and specific contracts of subsea inspection
  • Technically assist asset in the engineering analysis of damages of incidents
  • Provide recommendation on mitigation plan for reported anomalies/damages/ incidents and follow up with concerned parties to close out all the needed actions. 
  • Design and update the EPRS philosophy, identify the possible “worst case” scenarios and their corrective actions
  • Identify the needed equipment, materials and specialized tools
  • Prepare budget, stock and maintenance of all purchased EPRS items
  • Locate, contract and mobilize the marine spread for initial inspection at the best cost
  • Participate in the establishment/review of related procedures
  • Participate in the technical review as well as the operability/security audits
  • Promote the implementation of company’s SSHE policy and regulations in all works under responsibility

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field with a preference in Subsea, Civil, Mechanical or Offshore Engineering.
  • A minimum of 7 years working experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years working in the offshore and/or Oil and Gas industry with a cumulated offshore time of no less than 2 years.
  • Possess AutoCAD skills and full computer proficiency
  • Capable of drafting the specific contractual clauses in an ROV and/or diving contract.
  • Well up to date and connected with all known Sub Sea contractors and vendors, capable of selecting the right marine spread and equipment for each specific operation. Keep up to date on the pre-qualification program of Contractors.
  • Fully conversant on all Sub Sea inspection and NDE techniques, tools and equipment.
  • Fully competent on all EPRS equipment and tools.
  • Fully conversant on all ROV and diving techniques, rules and regulation and the IMCA.
  • Have prepared, organized and conducted alone a minimum of 2 full routine inspection campaigns.
