Job Purpose

Engineer, Geomatics performs and manages Geophysical Investigation (GSI), Geotechnical Investigation (GTI), Rig Move Projects and Geomatics data for PTTEP ED.

Key Accountabilities

•    Responsible as project engineer for GSI, GTI, Rig Move, Geomatics Data management
•    Define project scopes and plans, work programs and budgets, and project development strategies to meet project requirements, Drilling Sequence, Development plan and in compliance with the Company’s policy and objectives
•    Coordinate with cross-functional teams e.g. Asset Planning, Subsurface, New Wellhead Platform Construc-tion, Drilling & Rig Team, Offshore operation, etc. to ensure projects are managed timely and smoothly
•    Monitor and manage stakeholders to ensure the project’s performance and compliance in terms of schedule, QA/QC policies, SSHE requirements, cost control, and applicable codes and standards are aligned with the defined strategies and approved plans. Initiate appropriate corrective actions when required.
•    Work with onshore and offshore contractors for job preparation e.g. manpower, tools & equipment, etc. to ensure everyone work safely, meet specification, complete on time within budget. 
•    Cooperate and communicate effectively with Offshore Company Site Representative (CSR) and project par-ticipants to provide assistance and technical support/solution
•    Demonstrate strong problem solving by working with project team to find out root cause, fix it and eliminate the problem to ensure continual improvement
•    Be a Company Site Representative (CSR) onboard vessel for GSI and GTI and manage to meet stakeholder requirement with high quality and timely manner for New Wellhead Platform installation, Drilling and Asset Retirement Projects
•    Prepare Rig/Barge Move Information (RMI) for drilling Activities 
•    Prepare “Right Rig Right Platform” (3RP) information. 3RP information including Rig/ Barge access diagram, Rig / Barge anchor patterns, propose spud can penetration, obstruction, drill slot accessibility etc.
•    Promote the implementation and adherence to the Company’s SSHE rules and regulations

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

  • Bachelor's or higher in Survey / Geomatics Engineering 
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English     
  • Good ability to analyze and synthesize problems in complex environment
  • Good project management and strong problem-solving skill
  • Broad based computer knowledge
