Key Accountabilities
- Conduct due diligence and evaluate performance of environmental management implementation of new acquisition project as part of SSHE Due Diligence, especially the significant environmental aspects in the region.
- Conduct company environmental risk assessment, both at corporate and asset level and advise to manage the relevant risks, to support company environmental management especially as part of stakeholder value creation
- Conduct and review environmental assessment for decommissioning activities for end of concession or when no longer operation in accordance with legal requirement, including developing the appropriate management plan and mitigation measures.
- Develop and deliver environmental management action plan in alignment with company strategic direction as well as company environmental management roadmap e.g. climate change management, energy efficiency, life cycle assessment, biodiversity management, water management, waste management, spill preparedness and response, etc.
- Advise and develop company and asset environmental targets and annual key performance indicators, support on development of appropriate actions and monitor outcomes in relation to key environmental issues.
- Develop, implement and maintain effective environmental initiative programs/ projects to mainstream environmental sustainability across the company.
- Review key global, regional and national policies in relation to environmental issues, identify key actions from corporate perspective and report to management.
- Monitor and report company environmental performances in accordance with external requirement e.g. company annual sustainability report, company website, investor required questionnaire (Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), UN Global Compact, SET, etc.).
- Provide information and response for company sustainability reporting and performance assessment on environment dimension according to external stakeholders’ request.
- Keep abreast of emerging products, technologies, processes or methods which will help company to reduce the environmental impacts and achieve environmental sustainability targets.
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering and preferably with Master’s degree in relevant Engineering or Sciences
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience of environmental management
- Experience in environmental affairs in relation to the oil and gas industry, especially climate management
- Experience in environmental research and study
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good digital literacy skills
- Expertise in writing of technical reports and procedures is advantageous
- Good knowledge of industry codes, standards and legislation on SSHE aspect
- Strong analytical skills
