Business Analyst
Job Purpose
The Business Analyst serves as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders, digital development teams, and enterprise architecture. Operating as a key driver within the digital solutions project, the job holder leverages advanced product discovery and user-centric analysis to reveal, define, and validate comprehensive digital products. By synthesizing business domain knowledge, emerging technologies (such as AI, cloud-native solutions, and advanced analytics), and technical architecture, to break down operational silos. They are responsible for delivering end-to-end digital value—from conceptualization and design to developer team, including hybrid project delivery, and post-implementation continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Requirement Engineering & Product Discovery: Lead immersive discovery sessions and collaborative workshops with diverse business domain owners. Translate complex operational pain points into clear, value-driven product roadmaps, detailed requirements, and actionable digital initiatives.
- Value Stream & Systems Analysis: Analyse root causes of inefficiencies and map interconnections across enterprise applications and functions. Break down organizational silos by guiding stakeholders to understand holistic, cross-functional use cases rather than isolated fixes.
- Solution Architecture & Co-Creation: Partner collaboratively with Developer team to formulate robust solution designs (encompassing functional, technical, data, and security architectures). Support in evaluation of recommended optimal tech stacks aligned with recent industry standards and company governance.
- Stakeholder & Change Management: Cultivate strong relationships with initiative leaders and product owners. Drive alignment on requirements, manage expectations
- Hybridge Delivery & Execution: Use the Hybrid method (Waterfall and Agile) within the project team. Balance the structured planning, documentation, and stage-gate governance of Waterfall with the iterative execution and flexibility of Agile. Facilitate team workflows, remove blockers, and ensure continuous delivery of value through modern deployment pipelines.
Professional Knowledge & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise-scale digital environments.
- Industry Context: Experience in the Oil and Gas / Energy sector is highly advantageous, particularly an understanding of IT/OT convergence and operational cybersecurity standards.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional systems-thinking and problem-resolution skills, with the ability to translate complex data into business strategy.
- Interpersonal Capabilities: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. A customer-focused, results-oriented mindset with a strong dedication to service excellence.
- Methodology Mastery: Deep expertise in facilitating product discovery, business process mapping, the Hybrid methodology (integration of Waterfall and Agile), and modern business requirement engineering techniques.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of modern application architectures (e.g., Cloud environments, APIs, Microservices, Vibe coding, and AI/ML integrations).
- Vendor & Project Management: Proven track record of managing third-party technology vendors, system integrators, and leading SaaS implementations.
