Analyst, Business Development Support

Job Purpose

Analyst, Business Development Support To support investment analysis in PTTEP Beyond-E&P areas, including but not limited to Hydrogen, CCUS, Renewables, Gas to Power Industry, advanced technology and any other Non-E&P industries that fit to PTTEP’s diversification strategy. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. To assist on carrying-out technical & commercial due diligence and project valuation on M&A Opportunities; and prepare investment proposal for internal approval. To support the intelligence unit for PTTEP Beyond-E&P areas

Key Accountabilities (1)

  • Coordinate and support business intelligence in focused regions and to support identification of new investment opportunity
  • Acquire information related to the new / existing opportunities and perform study to identify potentiality of the new business opportunity aiming to diversify the company business growth
  • Assist Energy Transition Lead / Project Manager to manage study, development and M&A Process for the selected opportunities in the areas of contractual, commercial & business aspects (including preparation of any required documents, presentations, calculation worksheets, etc.)    
  • Assist in analysis of technology & market trends related to PTTEP Beyond-E&P areas

Key Accountabilities (2)

  • Assist in assessment of PTTEP’s competitive position and market attractiveness in the industry to ensure that business development strategic directions, goals and objectives are appropriate and achievable
  • Support in analysis of current business / technology development performance & portfolio in comparison with industry standards/norms and identify targeted benchmarks to enable PTTEP to achieve its vision
  • Support monitoring and identification of internal and external factors which can significantly affect PTTEP Beyond-E&P areas, such as; change in technology & business environment, trends of industry and government policies etc.
  • Assist in promotion and communication to both internal & external parties to understand and realize importance of technology development
  • Assist Energy Transition Lead / Project Manager in project management (including performance management, schedule/budget control, procurement, etc.) and coordination with internal and external stakeholders

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline (engineering or geoscience) or commerce discipline (business, economics, and finance). An MBA or a postgraduate degree in Economics /Finance is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-year experience for Analyst/ Coordinator Position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Thai and English
  • Excellent in presentation skills
  • Understanding of Renewable and Gas to Power industry, downstream sector, decarbonization, Company business, and Company policy
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timeline
  • Ability to integrate diverse element of work
