Accountant, Revenue Accounting
Job Purpose
The Accountant, Revenue Accounting oversees various accounting functions including sales revenue accounting, receivables, corporate cost allocation, and operational expenditures. He/She ensure adherence to PTTEP accounting policies, maintain precise records, and produce management reports.
Additionally, He/She manage corporate cost allocation, assist with internal and external reporting, offer expertise in accounts receivable and invoice processing, and collaborate with stakeholders for operational efficiency. Moreover, He/She is adaptable and capable of handling ad hoc projects as needed.
Key Accountabilities
Account Closing:
• Collaborate with relevant parties to facilitate period-end account closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with PTTEP policies.
• Confirm and reconcile transactions with affiliates to eliminate intercompany transactions for consolidation.
• Analyze and verify recorded transactions for data accuracy during account closing processes.
• Record sales of petroleum products and related expenses based on sales statements received from operators.
Invoice Management:
• Issue sales invoices for petroleum products using information from relevant parties, ensuring accuracy in calculation and compliance with contract terms.
• Manage invoices for trade-related activities, intra/inter-company transactions, and corporate charge-outs.
• Administer the request for service legacy system to support efficient task fulfillment within PTTEP.
• Coordinate with tax accountants to provide VAT information in compliance with regulations.
Sales, Revenue, and Receivable Information Centre:
• Generate reports on sales, revenue, and receivables, providing comprehensive analysis for management review.
• Prepare reports and details for account receivable balances, sales revenue, and royalty for various stakeholders.
• Provide information to tax authorities for annual tax filing and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare royalty calculations and reports for submission to the Department of Mineral Fuels (DMF) as mandated by law.
• Address queries from stakeholders and facilitate the reconciliation of related party transactions.
Key Accountabilities (Cont)
Corporate Cost Allocation and Charge-Out:
• Calculate corporate charge-out tariffs and allocate corporate costs to assets based on PTTEP methodologies.
• Analyze variances in corporate cost allocation and charge-outs and support audit reviews.
• Assist in preparing reports and analyses on corporate cost allocation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor Time write submissions to ensure data accuracy for cost allocation and maintain records.
Audit Support:
• Provide information and support for audits related to accounts receivable and sales revenue reconciliation.
• These key accountabilities encompass various financial responsibilities, including account closing, invoice management, sales and revenue reporting, corporate cost allocation, and audit support.
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in related functions, preferably in the E&P industry.
- Proficiency in SAP applications, particularly SAP-SD and SAP-AR modules.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English (TOEIC Score: 650).
- Demonstrated accuracy and correctness in data and document management.
- Thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles, including investment decision-making.
- Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge in E&P and related businesses, with a focus on benchmarking international practices.
- Excellent analytical skills, including quantitative and statistical analysis
