Job Purpose

Engineer, Engineering Tech Scale Up (Prototype & Pilot Engineering) is a skilled engineer with expertise in prototype and pilot engineering, responsible for a lead role in the design, testing, and operation of prototype units and pilot units within our technology scale-up initiative. As the Prototype& Pilot Engineering, he/ she will play a crucial role in ensuring the facilities meet rigorous safety, security, health, and environmental (SSHE) standards while optimizing performance metrics.

Key Accountabilities

1) Design Oversight: Lead the design and development of facilities for prototype units and pilot plants, ensuring alignment with project goals and scalability.
2) Prototype & Pilot Functionality Testing Coordination: Oversee the testing phase, coordinating with cross-functional teams, engineering team, construction teams, R&D team, Manufacturing, OEM, Vendors, SSHE team, to validate facility functionality and troubleshoot any issues.
3) Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency by implementing best practices, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to performance metrics.
4) Safety and Compliance: Establish and maintain SHE protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the facility's lifecycle.
5) Prototypes & Pilot Plant Execution: Manage the day-to-day operations of the pilot plant, including equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to achieve project milestones.
6) Collaboration: Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, construction, Operation and Maintenance Team, project management teams and Business Development team, to ensure seamless integration of facility operations with overall project objectives.
7) Performance Matrix Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
8) Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of facility activities, preparing regular reports on performance, challenges, and solutions.

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or related field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in engineering project execution.
  • Proven experience in facility engineering and operations within a technology scale-up environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety, security, health, and environmental (SSHE) standards in a laboratory or pilot plant setting.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
