(Senior) Engineer, Domestic Asset Data Foundation
Job Purpose
(Senior) Engineer, Domestic Asset Data Foundation carries out critical role to develop/streamline domestic asset business data workflow by gathering business requirement from G1/61, G2/61, Arthit, onshore focal points as well as other business x-functional teams e.g. Drilling, Well Services, Subsurface, Engineering, Maintenance, etc, and provide recommendations/solutions per holistic domestic asset point of view to drive asset synergy thru data foundation where applicable. The recommendations/solutions include, but not limited to, unified data models across domestic assets, centralized databases, streamlined workflow, standardized data inputs/outputs as well as seamless data/app-business work process integration. They also need to support data driven organization sustainability by making sure up-to-date and reliable data are delivered to users via robust data quality assurance and data governance processes.
Key Accountabilities
- Summarize common and unique business requirement as well as business and data workflow by working with asset teams and x-functional teams. Provide recommendations to team per domestic asset point of view.
- Drive asset synergy thru data foundation where applicable e.g. streamlined data inputs/output, centralized database, seamless data-business integration, etc.
- Work with business teams to develop data quality management roadmap/framework and data quality assurance process.
- Work with IT corporate to communicate changes and/or develop adoption plan to stakeholders to ensure data driven organization sustainability.
- Work with business and data analyst to QA/QC data model, making sure business logics are covered possible scenarios of data sets.
- Provide business inputs to IT corporates to improve data/digital related e.g. data/digital governance, data/digital work processes, data/digital portfolio management, etc.
- Coordinate with business users and IT to provide timely support to business users, troubleshooting/investigating data issues as needed basis at maintenance phase.
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
- Background in Engineering or related degree.
- 7+ years experience in E&P business (Petroleum development, Production Operations, Drilling and Completion, etc.)
- Good understanding of data management, data/product architecture, data pipeline, data workflow, and relevant data/digital related to collaborate issues and recommendations with IT corporate, 3rd party vendor, and business users.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Good communication skill and be resilience to manage changes.
- SQL coding and data visualization development are a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Thai
