1. KEY OBJECTIVES

Managing the recruitment process in an expedient and efficient manner aligned with PTTEP objectives, policies and procedures

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Recruitment

  • Ensure the approved vacancies is filled within the stipulated time frame and determining whether the vacancies are short-term hire, contractual or permanent hire as they warrant differing procedures.
  • Ensure the content of each job description is accurate prior to advertising through discussions with end users.
  • Target and schedule of recruitment advertisements to derive optimum results in responses.
  • Collate and compile responses from the advertisements.
  • Determine the most appropriately qualified Oil and Gas Search Companies both local and foreign. Coordinate and liaise with them in obtaining resumes of suitably qualified candidates.
  • Review resumes to select those with the appropriate qualification and experience in the first short-listing process.

 

Interviews

  • Determine the panel set up for each interview and coordinate the timing of the interviewers (2 – 4 persons) and ensure equal representation from each Department that the hire would have a direct impact.
  • Liaise and discuss with the interviewers prior to the interview to ensure that relevant questions to the job are being asked and a structured interview format is in place.
  • Complete the feedback of the panel and coordinate the final selection of the candidate.

2.1 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Appointment

  • Negotiate salaries with selected or short-listed staff, ensuring they are within the range of the job grade.
  • Prepare salary build up, proposal for compensation (PFC), offer letter and the contract of employment. Obtain signatories and forward the package to candidate and received the documents from candidates.

 

Development of Policies

  • Research, draft and develop policies on recruitment process, recommend initiatives for recruitment strategy and strive to improve on existing processes to enable more effective and expedient recruitment.
  • Ensure existing policies and processes on recruitment are adhered to, to ensure fairness in the appointment of staff at all times.
