LOCATION                                     :        KL Office

1. KEY OBJECTIVES

Manage and execute Construction works for Malaysia Greenfield facilities starting from EPC tendering until completion of EPC phase.  The job holder also interfaces, coordinates and manages EPC Contractor and his Subcontractors to deliver the works in accordance to COMPANY specifications, technical, quality, schedule & budget requirements and in safely manner.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manager, Construction shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Responsible Responsibilities during EPC Bidding:

  • Support technical bid clarifications and review technical proposals from EPC bidders regarding Construction works.

Responsibilities during EPC Execution:

  • Lead Construction team to manage and supervise EPC Contractor and his Subcontractors toward Construction works.
  • Focal point to review all Construction procedures, schedule & work sequence, method statement, shop drawings, lifting plan and all other documents prepared by EPC Contractor and his Subcontractors.
  • Focal point to ensure the quality of Construction works performed by EPC Contractor and his Subcontractors in compliance with COMPANY’s specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Focal point to resolve all technical and quality issues arise at worksite(s) regarding Construction works.
  • Create and promoted positive Safety, Security, Environment and Health (SSHE) culture awareness among COMPANY Project team, EPC Contractor and all Subcontractor teams.
  • Assist Construction Manager to expedite and closely monitor Construction work progress, including analyzing root cause and provide mitigations/solutions in case of delay.
  • Support COMPANY Engineering team to review all Detailed Engineering and Vendor documents relating to Construction activities and attend relevant workshops during Detailed Engineering and meetings/FAT at Vendors’ workshops. 

6. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Engineering or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Civil is advantage but not necessary.
  • Professional certificate by accredited Bodies/ Associations is an advantage but not necessary.

Work Experiences

  • Minimum of 15 years direct experience in Offshore Platform Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning works and including experience in CPP EPC/EPCI/EPCIC Construction project.
  • Must have Work Experiences in both Client side (with major O&G Companies) and EPC Contractor side (with major Offshore EPC Contractors)

Desired Competency (Skills and Abilities) 

  • Must have extensive knowledge & experience in Construction of Offshore Platforms, and including quality control, schedule control and project management.
  • Familiar with international codes and standards related to Manufacturing/Fabrication, Installation and Quality Standards in Oil & Gas industry and also related local regulations.
  • Familiar with PTTEP or TOTAL Specifications is an advantage.
  • Good communication, coordination and organizing skills with ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members and outside stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and integrity.
  • Contractor Management skills with strong personality and able to drive EPC Contractor toward project goals.
