DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : Sabah Production Operations Section (PBS/O)
LOCATION : Offshore - Sabah
Overview
The Kikeh Field comprises associated infrastructure and flexible riser systems necessary to operate 12 subsea producing wells and 16 water injection wells.
The SNP development program sanctioned and in progress will deliver a further 8 subsea wells.
Kikeh Spar production and water injection is routed via 4 GAP flowlines and associated risers to the FPSO. Gas Export is facilitated via one FPSO gas export flexible riser and export pipeline to Labuan consumers, connected to which is 1 gas injection well.
Recent add-on in 2019 have added Kikeh Subsea Gaslift infrastructure with current flowlines for both Kikeh & SNP system relies solely on availability of gaslift. The system requires continuous monitoring 24/7 and during Gas Compressor trips, the Subsea Operator require to react immediately on both Kikeh & SNP field to avoid flow assurance risk.
Key Objectives
- To safely deliver subsea production, water injection and gas injection performance.
- Supervise and train PTTEP Subsea Operators to competently operate the subsea equipment and assist in all aspects of supporting the operation and maintenance of the subsea system.
- Provide continuation of activities at night during well kick off and flowline instability ensuring flowlines can be recovered timely and avoiding any hydrates or other flow assurance risk.
- Provide support and additional coverage during day time if needed by Subsea Supervisors during high activities offshore.
- In the event of production upsets provide on-the-spot leadership and direction in flow assurance management tasks to protect subsea infrastructure.
- Ensure safety critical testing is completed on schedule, with supported justification for deferral in place should this not be met. Maintain auditable records of testing once completed.
- Develop, update and continually improve flow assurance documentation and procedures, so that they represent the current best practice, incorporate all lessons learned and account for any equipment changes or deficiencies.
- Maintain suitable and sufficient technical documentation onboard the FPSO to support the safe and efficient operation of subsea equipment.
- As onboard Subsea Operations focal point, coordinate infield subsea operations and construction activity, facilitating field review and implementation of activity risk assessments and JSAs. Advise Snr Prod Ops Supt of relevant SIMOPS conflicts requiring management, such that accurate PTW can be raised to mitigate Field risk.
- Ensure that well rates are adjusted and monitored as per Production Engineering targets. Also participate in the development of those targets, providing operations feedback and lessons from the field.
- Capture production opportunities to maximise commingled production. Coordinate this with all connected parties (e.g. FPSO operations staff, DTU crew, KL Petroleum Engineers etc)
